He was the University Professor at the Steinhardt School of Education of NYU.

Robert Bruegmann is a professor, architectural historian and author. He is attached to the School of Architecture and the Program in Urban Planning and Policy at the University of Illinois, Chicago. His fields of research and teaching are architectural, urban, landscape, and planning history and historic preservation.
