Foundations

The Edie Hand Foundation was created by Edie Hand, a three time cancer survivor. The Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness and money for special-needs children. One of its focuses is to raise money to support organizations that treat children with motor dysfunction and other disabilities.

The James Irvine Foundation was founded by agricultural pioneer, James Irvine. Its mission is to expand opportunity for the people of California to participate in a vibrant, successful, and inclusive society.

The Henry Moore Foundation is a registered charity, founded Mr. Moore in 1977. It aims to educate the public by the promotion of fine arts and in particular the works of Henry Moore. The Foundation also supports a wide range of projects and activities in the visual arts through its donations programme.

The Kasparov Chess Foundation was founded by World Chess Champion, Garry Kasparov. Its mission is to bring the many educational benefits of chess to children throughout the United States by providing a complete chess curriculum and enrichment programs.

The Stephen Lewis Foundation provides care to women who are ill and struggling to survive, assists orphans and other AIDS affected children. The Foundation is dedicated to help ease the pain of HIV/AIDS in Africa.

The Kasey Kahne Foundation was created by Kasey Kahne in 2005. The Foundation raises and donates funds to special charitable organizations including those that care for chronically ill children and their families. Every year it raises funds for these deserving causes through several exciting events, such as sprint car races and drifting challenges.

The Tony Stewart Foundation was founded in 2003 by NASCAR driver, Tony Stewart. Its principal purposes are to raise and donate funds to help care for chronically ill children, drivers injured in motorsports activities and to support other charitable organizations in the protection of various animal species.

The P. Buckley Moss Foundation strives to assist teachers and school divisions with the promotion and integration of the arts into all educational programs. The Foundation was created and initially funded in 1995 by the P. Buckley Moss Society. As a humanitarian role model to the Society, Pat Moss is noted for her charitable endeavors, one of which is the education of children.

The Michael J. Fox Foundation aims to deliver patients better treatments and ultimately, a cure for Parkinson's disease. Since 2000, the Foundation has funded more than $92 million in Parkinson's research, either directly or through partnerships.

The Gates Foundation was founded by Bill and Melinda Gates in 2000. The Foundation was created to help reduce inequities in the United States and around the world. It focuses on improving health and reducing extreme poverty in developing countries. Headquartered in Seattle, Washington, the foundation is led by co-chairs Bill Gates, Melinda Gates, and William H. Gates Sr., and by CEO Patty Stonesifer.
