Flutists

Herbie Mann was a flutist. He had worked with artists such as Candido, Ray Barretto, Olatunji, and Willie Bobo. He was the founder of the Herbie Mann's Prostate Cancer Awareness Music Foundation that uses performances and recordings to help spread the word.

James Newton is a flutist. He has been the recipient of many awards, fellowships and grants including the Guggenheim and Rockefeller Fellowships, and Downbeat International Critics Jazz Album of the Year. His compositions have been performed worldwide by many notable chamber ensembles, ballet and modern dance companies and symphony orchestras.

Brenda Morie is a flutist. She has appeared on numerous television and radio shows and even hosted two internationally distributed "Brenda Morie CFCN" television specials. She released a solo jazz CD, "Meant To Be" in late 2004/2005.

Larry Krantz is a flutist. He plays the flute and piccolo. He has performed solo and chamber music recitals in Canada, the U.S. and England. He was the conductor and musical director for the Medicine Hat Symphony.

Alicia Reschny is a flutist. She has performed with the Scarborough Philharmonic, Cathedral Bluffs Orchestra, The Royal Conservatory Orchestra, and The National Academy Orchestra. She is married to saxophonist Trent Reschny.
