Saxophonists

Phil Woods is a saxophonist. He has appeared with various bands such as the Charlie Barnet Orchestra, Buddy Rich Band and Gerry Mulligan Concert Band. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Al Cohn Memorial Jazz Collection at East Stroudsburg University.

Virginia Mayhew is a saxophonist. She has worked with artists such as Cab Calloway, Frank Zappa, James Brown, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Leon Parker, and Clark Terry. She has also performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival, JVC Jazz Festival, San Francisco Jazz Festival, and Panasonic Jazz Festival, among others.

Jim Spake is a saxophonist. He has backed touring artists such as Ray Charles, Tony Bennett, The Four Tops, and Johnny Mathis. He was selected by the Memphis chapter NARAS for the Premier Woodwind Player Award eight times between 1987 and 2001.

Anton Shwartz is a saxophonist. He has performed at the "Blue Note" in New York, "Blues Alley" in Washington D.C. and the Monterey Jazz Festival. He is also a faculty member of the "Stanford Jazz Workshop" and "The Jazzschool".

Jerry Vivino is a saxophonist. He is the sax player on the Conan O'Brien Show. He has also been featured on many recordings, TV commercials and movie soundtracks.

Dave Pietro is a saxophonist. He travels regularly around the world as a soloist, clinician, bandleader and sideman. He is also on the faculty of several summer jazz camps run by bassist Jim Widner.

Jeff Coffin is a saxophonist. He has shared the stage with artists such as The Dave Matthews Band, Branford Marsalis, Garth Brooks, and Van Morrison. He has presented clinics around the world from Farmington, Maine to Perth, Australia.

Pete Petersen is a saxophonist. He was a featured performer at many jazz festivals in the western U.S, including the Telluride Jazz Celebration, the Cathedral Park Jazz Festival, and the Gene Harris Jazz Festival. He is also an arranger and bandleader.

Simon Stribling is a saxophonist. He has played in such bands as the "Black Adder Jazz Band" and the "Hotter than Six" jazz band. He has also played with other artists such as Spiegle Wilcox, Graeme Bell, Dan Barrett, and Roy Williams.

Ron Blake is a saxophonist. He has worked with Roy Hargrove, Art Farmer, and the Christian McBride Band. He has performed with jazz artists such as Dizzy Gillespie, Bobby Hutcherson, and Gary Bartz at the first Virgin Islands Jazz Festival.
